The argument of science stays out of the church so church should stay out of the science classroom is COMPLETELY invalid.
It is optional to go to church and hear/believe the doctrines they teach there.
It is NOT optional to go to school and take science classes where evolution is being taught as whole as a fact. Thus, for those who believe that to be false (which he says is a small number, but doesn't quote any source), they have every right to try and change what is taught in the school system.
So what happens if I'm a Christian and I fully believe in evolution? Am I a heretic?
Seems like this discussion's straying away from whether it's right to teach this in a classroom and straying more towards people flaunting their belief/disbelief in evolution.
edit: that said, I don't mind that they have a course on this. Doesn't look like they're spending an excessive amount of tax money on this, but I could be wrong.
Ok, but passing a bill like this but VETOING a bill like this Arizona governor vetoes sheriffs first bill – Tenth Amendment Center Blog is laughable
I still don't like this idea
