Report: James Anderson's agent requests trade from Spurs

Pretty much the emergence of Danny Green and the spurs declining to extend James' rookie contract has lead to a trade request. Wouldn't surprise me if he went to New Orleans since Xavier Henry sucks. I've seen James ball numerous times in person at OSU and he has shown flashes of greatness in the NBA so I know he can contribute somewhere.

I can feel for him, Pop seems to be grooming Green to be his next starting guard/forward, Anderson used to be that guy.

I'm glad for him. It's not like he's declaring to be traded because he wants to play for a contender or anything. The guy wants a chance to prove himself. IMO send his ass to Toronto to take over that SF spot.

I liked Anderson coming out of OK State, thought the spurs got a steal when they drafted him, maybe it just isn't a good fit for him and needs a change of scenery.

I like James, he's not an errogant guy looking for money or anything like that. Just want's a chance to prove himself. Need more guys in the NBA like him tbh. Guys that are hard workers and just want to play.

^ 100% agree. Anderson just wants a chance to play more. We've seen what different surroundings/teams can do for someone (Lin), he just wants to prove himself.

Surprising that a player wants out of a championship caliber team. But it's obvious he isn't cracking the rotation unless a couple injuries happen, so I have no problem with him wanting to prove himself somewhere else.
